New Hampshire congressional candidate Andy Martin holds a Manchester news conference to ask “Is Maura Sullivan inflating her military service to the extent of stolen valor?

Martin has sent Democratic candidate Maura Sullivan a letter asking why she claims to have “fought” a war when she was a logistics officer. “There is a world of difference between an infantryman MOS and a logistics MOS (Military of Occupational Specialty),” Martin says. “I have no problem with Maura saying she served in Iraq; that’s true. But saying she ‘fought’ there? Maura has a serious psychological problem across her entire personnel history. She constantly exaggerates and inflates her experience, except for the period she has ‘erased’ when she worked at Pepsico selling sugared drinks and potato chips. I am asking Maura to withdraw and reword her current TV commercial because it is false and deceptive, and she may be committing an offense under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), RSA ch. 358-A. She can say she served in Iraq. She cannot say she ‘fought’ there. We will have more to say about Maura’s exaggerations and inflations in her career. Stay tuned,” Andy says.

New Hampshire First Congressional District GOP candidate Andy Martin will hold a Manchester news conference Sunday to challenge Maura Sullivan’s constant claims she “fought” in a war. “She served in Iraq but she was not a fighter and she never fought,” Martin says. “Maura’s misrepresentation approaches ‘stolen valor,’ where people inflate their military service. I am asking Maura to take corrective action and to stop lying about her background. She has a decent résumé. She doesn’t have to exaggerate but she apparently is a compulsive liar, not a good omen for someone wanting to serve in congress.”

(Manchester, NH)(August 12, 2018) — Republican congressional candidate Andy Martin will hold a news conference Sunday to criticize a Democratic Party opponent, Maura Sullivan, for exaggerating her military service.

Martin’s letter to Sullivan (with the address and contact information removed for brevity) is self-explanatory:

August 12, 2018

Maura Sullivan
Congressional Candidate
P.O. Box 1114
Portsmouth, NH 03802
team@maurafornh.com

Dear Maura:

First let me congratulate you for serving in the Marine Corps, a service with which I have a particularly close association.

Then allow me to caution you that you may be inflating and exaggerating your military service in a way that undermines your good work and approaches stolen valor.

I ask that you withdraw your current TV commercial and, in the future, sharply restrict the claims you make for your time in Iraq.

This letter is prompted by your latest exaggeration in a Democratic Party forum that you “fought in a war,” please see link #1 below.

1. My own military service and civilian activity

I took the oath of enlistment in the USAFR in 1964 and received an Honorable Discharge in 1965. Because so many candidates lie about their credentials, I posted my Honorable Discharge and Juris Doctor law degree on my web site where they are there for anyone to see, http://www.andymartin2018.com/documents.htm.

Because my military records were destroyed in a federal fire, I can’t prove or disprove whether I served a few days technically on active duty, but I am careful to always state that my active service was minuscule, no more than a few days.

I went to Viet-Nam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand during 1967, 1968 and 1971 as a civilian. I have also been in Afghanistan, Iran and all the countries of the Middle East with the exception of Syria. You can see pictures of me in Viet-Nam and Laos, http://www.AndyMartin.com. My unusual experience in Cambodia may or may not be written into a movie that is in production.

I met Marine General Foster LaHue who commanded Task Force X-Ray in Operation Cochise. Although I was a civilian I was exposed to combat or combat environments with Marines, Special Forces and ARVN on numerous occasions.

In digging back to prepare this letter, even a half century later I remember the pain of seeing good men die. I remember the news of Colonel Michael Spark, one of the few Dartmouth graduates to die in Viet-Nam, and his Sergeant Major Ted McClintock, when they were shot down, please see link #2 below. I was at Khe Sanh before the major assault, and the A Shau Valley during part of that conflict. Marine General Ray Davis and I spent time together that neither of us ever forgot. When General Davis retired he remembered me with a personal note.

2. My association with the Marines in Viet-Nam and Iraq

I worked for U. S. Senator Paul Douglas, known as the “Marine Corps’ Senator” because of his devotion to the USMC; he was grievously wounded at Peleliu. I started out as one of his drivers and after he left office we became very close. He wrote to the Illinois Supreme Court on my behalf and attacked the corrupt media and politics in Illinois. In Viet-Nam, because of my association with Senator Douglas and the administration, Marine units received me warmly; General Ray Davis invited me to spend time with him. Overall, I spent several months working in and out of Southeast Asia.

Let me say that prior to the invasion in Iraq I was one of the few Republicans who had the guts to stand up to President Bush and warn him that operation would be a disaster. I marched in Washington against the war.

Nevertheless, a few days after Saddam Hussein fell I arrived in Baghdad and spent a good part of 2003 in Iraq. Once again, I was a civilian. I was a critic of how the post-invasion situation was handled. We lost brave men and women with little long-term benefit. Nevertheless, I honor the service of those who answered the call, including a close family member. You can see pictures of me in Iraq at http://www.AndyMartin.com.

I was in Fallujah before the Marines were in Fallujah. I traveled alone, with only a single Iraqi as my driver.

3. The Military Occupational Specialty (“MOS”) system

As you are well aware, the Marines follow a standard Military Occupational Specialty (“MOS”) organization of their force, see link #3 below.

The MOS system describes what military personnel do. There is a complete cleavage between an infantryman/infantry officer and a logistics officer. Your MOS was logistics. Although Marines claim that every enlisted Marine is an “infantryman,” and officers undergo some combat training, your role was not even remotely combat related, please see link #4 below. By your own admission, you were in charge of guarding weapons, not using them, please see link #5 below.

4. The two prongs of “stolen valor”

There are two (2) prongs to stolen valor.

Some individuals claim they served, when they did not.

Then there are those who actually served, but grossly inflate their service. “Tail gunner Joe” is an example of that form of exaggeration. Your claim of “fighting” in Iraq approaches Joe McCarthy’s stolen valor. I don’t know if you crossed the line with your “fighting” claims, and I will wait to hear from others where that line should be drawn. But I believe you are very close to the line, if not actually crossing it.

5. My request that you stop exaggerating your military service

I am asking you to take two steps. First, you should withdraw and reword your TV commercial which falsely claims you “fought” in Iraq. You did not fight. Period.

Second, you must stop exaggerating and inflating your resume.

Exaggeration and inflation are everyday, constant problems for you. If I am the Republican candidate (I am currently in third place and rapidly gaining on my primary opponents in what has become a close three-way race) I will rip you for your inappropriate exaggerations and inflations. Just ask my primary opponents what it feels like to come under my campaign scalpel.

Please feel to respond if you question any of my assertions in this letter. Given the seriousness of my accusations, and the way I have documented them, I will assume silence means you accept my criticism.

Semper Fi.

Andy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Attention, New Hampshire, Washington, National daybook/assignment and Political editors

Congressional candidate calls New Hampshire the “Peyton Place of American politics” because of the state’s corrupt media and colleges, and incompetent leadership in the Republican Party.

(Concord, NH)(August 10, 2018) — First District GOP congressional candidate Andy Martin will hold a Concord, NH news conference Monday, August 13th to announce he is filing a lawsuit against the “partners” of the New Hampshire Republican Party, as well as local colleges that sponsor rigged polls. The GOP is promoting a “debate” that is being rigged to advance some candidates and denigrate others in violation of the party’s own bylaws.

“We drove to Concord to file the lawsuit Friday afternoon, but were caught in I-93 gridlock,” says Andy Martin. “We missed the Clerk’s closing cutoff of 4:00 P.M. so we will return Monday and file.

“Many Republican voters will be surprised to find out how rigged the politics of their party and state really are. Their tax dollars are used to support a leftist organization, the University of New Hampshire, that ‘polls’ on nine (9!) Democratic candidates and only two (2) Republicans. Likewise a St. Anselm poll was rigged in advance by polling on eight Democrats and only two Republicans. In both instances my name was excluded from the poll. These are taxpayer-supported and tax-exempt institutions using our hard-earned money to sponsor leftist propaganda.

“I have been featured on a national TV broadcast network, been covered on the front page of the New York Times and was part of the most controversial cable TV segment during the 2008 presidential election, and I’m not big enough for New Hampshire politics?

“The state’s politics is too dirty and too corrupt for the good citizens who have had a Democratic Party dictatorship imposed on them by local media and incompetent GOP leadership. The score in Congress: 4 Democrats, 0 Republicans, speaks for itself. The candidates the GOP leadership is now promoting don’t have a chance in November. They are totally out of sync with the First District.

“My lawsuit also challenges the ‘fake’ candidates and debates promoted by WMUR and the Union Leader. Two years ago they promoted a fake candidate who hadn’t paid taxes on his home, didn’t have a ‘small business’ as he claimed, and had been barred from being a contractor while he said he was one. Yet WMUR and the Union leader used this fake candidate to conduct debates and defraud primary voters. The Union Leader and WMUR held the negative information I provided in June until after the primary in September. Then, his value as a useful idiot over, WMUR and the Union Leader slaughtered their own fake candidate and reelected the Democrat. Peyton Place!

“Politics in this state in the Republican Party is petty, corrupt, self-destructive and self-defeating, which is why Democrats win and Republicans lose.

“Wayne McDonald will be the death of the Republican Party in New Hampshire. He may be a nice person but he is out of his depth in leading the GOP against the well-organized and well-financed Democratic Party of Ray Buckley. It is like a battle between a major league team (D’s) and a sandlot team (R’s).

“All of the litigation which McDonald and his group are triggering will almost certainly diminish financial donations to the party, so harassing me will have a devastating financial backlash. Potential party donors can now see the ugliness of GOP politics exposed in a court of law.

“Likewise, the Republicans announced a ‘debate’ barely a week before it is supposed to be held. Yet they announced ‘partners’ and ‘sponsors,’ so negotiations must have been going on for some time. The event was not listed on the NH GOP calendar of events. Why the secrecy?

“The Democrats accommodate eleven (11) candidates in their congressional events; McDonald and his coterie of insiders are trying to promote only two candidates. Maybe McDonald can only count to ‘2.’

“A copy of the Complaint which will be filed Monday is attached to emailed versions of this release and speaks for itself,” Martin says.

Congressional candidate Andy Martin says the New Hampshire GOP has a death wish; Martin charges former Mayor Rudy Giuliani is helping the process

New Hampshire congressional candidate Andy Martin says a cabal within the New Hampshire GOP’s leadership has a death wish. The party rigs primaries to nominate unqualified candidates, engages in blatant lies and backstabbing, and defeats its own incumbents through mismanagement and corruption. Rudy Giuliani came to Portsmouth Wednesday to rescue the sinking campaign of Eddie Edwards. Andy Martin explains why Giuliani’s support cannot revive Eddie Edwards, and why Martin is the only tested and proven campaigner to take on the Democrats in November. Martin’s views may be tough reading for his opponents, but his conclusions ring true. You decide who has the better of the argument.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

(Manchester, NH)(August 2, 2018) — New Hampshire First Congressional District GOP candidate Andy Martin says the New Hampshire Republican Party’s leadership has a death wish. Wednesday Rudy Giuliani helped the party on the path to oblivion in 2018 by endorsing “dead man walking” congressional wannabe Eddie Edwards.

“The New Hampshire Democratic Party has eleven (count’em) candidates for congress in the First District,” Martin says. (please see link #1 below). “They happily accommodate all eleven candidates at debates and forums. The result is that because all candidates have been treated fairly during the primary process, the party will come out of the primary with a unified front to face the Republican winner.

“The Republican Party: Six candidates originally filed in the First District. One candidate, Bruce Crochetiere, dropped out after mild criticism by one of his opponents, Andy Sanborn. Crochetiere’s campaign collapsed only hours after he participated in the notorious “dirty debate” sponsored by a self-destructive clique of Rockingham Republicans.

“There are now three GOP candidates actively campaigning for congress in the First District, myself, Eddie Edwards and Andy Sanborn. I have the most difficult job, winning the primary; but I am the only candidate who could win in November. My two primary opponents, who are supported by GOP insiders, are toxic and unelectable. Here are the details.

“Unlike the Democrats, who cheerfully accommodate eleven candidates, a handful of Republicans with a death wish are trying to exclude anyone but two favored candidates from attending many party functions.

Other party leaders reject the ‘Rockingham’ approach and warmly welcome my participation.

Unfortunately, self-destructive behavior has a long history at New Hampshire Republican headquarters. The ‘death wish’ approach to primaries started before me.

“The U. S. Constitution gives New Hampshire four (4) seats in congress, two U. S. Senators and two U. S. Representatives. Because New Hampshire is sharply divided politically, you might think the GOP would split 50-50 with the Democrats. You would be wrong.

“As recently as 2016 the Republicans had one Senator (Kelly Ayotte) and one Representative (Frank Guinta). GOP leaders managed to fumble away both seats.

“Rep. Guinta had transferred some family money to one of his campaigns. Why federal law prohibits mothers and fathers from giving money to their children escapes me. Guinta got entangled in the hyper-technical rules of federal campaign administration. While there was never any evidence of wrongdoing or improper intent, and at worst the money at issue belonged to Guinta’s parents, he had to pay a settlement to get federal regulators off his tail.

“The GOP was led at the time by the disastrous Jennifer Horn, who had already begun the process of ‘transitioning’ from conservative Republican to liberal Democrat. Horn, who had financially destroyed her own family with campaign finance violations when she was a candidate for congress, attacked Guinta for his questionable ‘offense.’

“Worse, Horn used her friendship with Senator Kelly Ayotte to convince Kelly she should attack Guinta. If there is one ironclad rule in politics for candidates, it is ‘don’t criticize those running for other offices.’

“From what I know of Ayotte, she was one of the nicest people in politics, polite, restrained and generally decent. But she was an ineffective campaigner.

“When the Democrats unlashed one of their most rabid attack dogs, Maggie Hassan, Ayotte’s campaign faltered. Instead of helping Ayotte and counseling her to improve her campaigning, which had included gratuitously angering conservatives, the GOP leadership allowed Ayotte’s campaign to wither. Still, Ayotte only lost by a few votes (I voted for her), mostly due to illegal student voting which is tolerated in this state. Republicans went from 50% representation in congress to zero.

Now back to the present.

“Last month, Chairman Wayne McDonald lied to me and said his committee had no role in tolerating the notorious ‘dirty debate.’ Monday of this week I learned McDonald was supporting the dirty debate sponsors and using the same slimy law firm as Rockingham County leaders to defend his own state committee. McDonald and his associates have implicitly approved Rockingham’s illegal favoritism to my primary opponents.

“Both the state and local GOP committees have rules – bylaws – prohibiting favored treatment for some candidates and not for others, an explicit promise of party leadership neutrality in primaries.

But instead of running an honest and open primary the way the Democrats are doing, McDonald and his co-conspirators are paying lawyers to defend their sleazy behavior promoting my primary opponents. That behavior can only engender post-primary bitterness. Not surprisingly, the fact that a handful of corrupt party leaders are violating their own neutrality rules does not sit well with me.

“But despite all of the roadblocks placed in the way my campaign is gaining altitude. I have effectively demolished my two active opponents.

“Andy Sanborn was considered so toxic by his state senate colleagues (all conservative Republicans, not ‘liberals’ as Sanborn falsely alleges) that for a time the senate leadership stripped him of his senate staff. The senate assistant assigned to Sanborn was disgusted by his behavior and felt uncomfortable working for him.

“In 2018, the year of ‘The Me too Movement’ fighting against sexual harassment, (please see link # 2 below) Sanborn may be the most toxic candidate in the state. But because Sanborn has been around a long time, he has a gaggle of diehard supporters who enjoy his speechifying about being the most conservative candidate in the race. Sanborn is a sure loser in November, but he may still have a slight lead in the primary.

“What wiped out Sanborn’s chances? My ‘Right to Know’ law filings with state agencies that exposed the truth about him. My legal work was quickly copied by the media. Sanborn had previously admitted he was ‘crass’ (please see link # 3) and attributed his ‘attitude’ to being a saloonkeeper politician (link # 4).

“The state’s evidence against Sanborn was painful to read and disclosed new accusations (removal of his staff assistant). More excerpts from the Attorney General’s Criminal Division files on Sanborn’s misconduct, which did not result in a criminal charge, are expected to be released through the middle of August.

Here’s a great slogan for Sanborn to use: ‘I was not charged with a crime; I’m just crass’. Imagine what the Democrats will make of a candidate who admits to being ‘crass’ with women if Sanborn is nominated.

“The other ‘death wish’ candidate is Eddie Edwards. In person, Edwards is charming; it’s hard not to like him. But Eddie is a world-class liar. He claims he was a great Liquor Commission enforcement ‘chief.’ The truth? Eddie filed three lawsuits (two administrative, one judicial) against the Liquor Commission alleging he was a victim of racial discrimination — after his bosses promoted him to ‘chief.’ Eddie spent more time litigating against his employer than he did policing.

Edwards’ successor says that Edwards left behind a ‘dysfunctional’ agency characterized by ‘mistrust and self-interest’. How’s that for a job reference from a former employer?

Here’s a great slogan for Edwards to use: ‘Send me to congress; I have already proven I can be dysfunctional and self-interested.’

What brought down Edwards? No surprise. My investigation under the Right to Know law. Once again, the media quickly copied my legal work.

“The Edwards demolition derby is just in its early stages. At my prodding, RTK law again, the Liquor Commission is preparing to release voluminous records about Edwards’ lawsuits against the agency. Edwards is probably in second place in the primary but he got a boost from someone he doesn’t know but who claims to know him. Rudy Giuliani.

Rudy’s prior visit to New Hampshire resulted in front-page tabloid coverage in New York. He came to Portsmouth Wednesday to read a prepared statement about Edwards. He had previously met Edwards for a few minutes. Unfortunately, by playing word games with the media, Rudy tried to embroil President Trump in supporting a ‘death wish’ candidate. The last thing President Trump needs is to be linked to the mismanagement and potential corruption of Eddie Edwards.

“Would Giuliani support a white candidate with Edwards’ record of mismanagement and incompetence at the Liquor Commission? Never. But in his declining years Giuliani has become a soft touch for the race card. Because Edwards is a minority, he is allowed to be incompetent and self-interested. The result: Giuliani is prolonging the agony of Granite State voters by trying to keep Edwards’ campaign alive.

“Who’s left? Why me, of course. Like Edwards and Sanborn I come with my own baggage; but unlike my opponents my enemies were stopped in their tracks decades ago. It’s hard not to get scratched up when you fight corruption. I exposed a federal judge as a crook, cocaine addict and philanderer. The judge was not happy. (My opposition later cost him a U. S. Supreme Court appointment.) The judge tried to retaliate by smearing me with lies, 35 years ago. It’s a pretty stale smear 35 years later. It usually backfires when media try that approach to discredit me.

“When the New York Times tried to revive the smear on page one of that newspaper 10 years ago, my approval and support skyrocketed. The smear backfired.

“Years ago, one of the nation’s leading newspapers called me ‘an absolutely brilliant campaigner.’ I have not lost any of my speed or sharpness. Just ask Sanborn and Edwards how they like running against me. But while fending off Edwards and Sanborn I have also developed the same kind of research against the Democrats that I used to demolish the Republicans.

“The bottom line: I have a difficult time getting the party to permit a level playing field so I can win the primary. But I am the only Republican candidate who can defeat the Democrat. I have proven I can take down my Republican opponents. Just imagine what plans I have to dismember the Democrat. The Democrats would love to run against Edwards or Sanborn now that I have exposed their inflated claims. The D’s are terrified I might win the primary and come after them with the same lethal impact that wiped out my primary opponents.

“And so, Rudy Giuliani may embarrass himself by reading from a prepared script and supporting someone he doesn’t know, but Giuliani cannot revive Edwards. Edwards is DOA.

“As for me, all I have ever asked for is a level playing field, and for party officials to live by the bylaws they took an oath to enforce, avoiding preferential treatment in the primary. Is that too much to ask? I’m trying to keep Republican Party hopes alive in November. But too many party leaders have a death wish and want to nominate a sure loser.

“Stay tuned; more documents and evidence to come.” Martin promises.

Rudy Giuliani faces questions Wednesday when he heads to New Hampshire to “endorse” a candidate with a history of filing racial discrimination claims. The state Liquor Commission is expediting an investigation into what agency files can be disclosed under the local “Right to Know” law, similar to FOIA

New Hampshire congressional candidate Andy Martin says he has reached “agreement in principle” with the New Hampshire Liquor Commission (“LC”) to expedite his Right to Know (“RTK”) demands for the voluminous LC files of former enforcement chief Eddie Edwards. Edwards is now a congressional candidate, although Edwards’ campaign may be on life support. Martin had advised the LC that if agreement on an expedited RTK schedule was not reached by 5:00 P.M. Tuesday he would file suit today, August 1st to secure the Edwards files on an expedited basis. At 5:31 P.M. Tuesday an attorney for the LC sent Martin an email providing an expedited RTK schedule. The parties are close to a deal and Martin expects an agreement today.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Attention, New Hampshire, Washington, National daybook/assignment and Political editors

(Concord, NH)(August 1, 2018) — First District GOP congressional candidate Andy Martin will hold a Concord, NH news conference Wednesday, August 1st to announce he has reached “agreement in principle” to expedite the production of New Hampshire Liquor Commission (“LC”) files involving Eddie Edwards’ lawsuits and complaints against the LC. Edwards received $160,000 to leave the agency and never reapply for employment.

“I had given the LC until 5:00 P.M. Tuesday to make a deal. When it came to 5:01 P.M. I sat down at my desk to start drafting a Right to Know (‘RTK’) lawsuit seeking to expedite the LC’s response. At 5:31 P.M. an email from the LC popped up offering an expedited schedule. It was like a James Bond clock ticking down to the last minute.

“The LC had previously claimed, falsely and outrageously, that it had no records concerning Edwards, which was a preposterous response (we previously distributed a copy of that fraudulent letter from the LC).

“Nevertheless, while we have not reached 100% agreement, we are close enough that I think we can make a deal. I am working for every Republican voter and every New Hampshire citizen, who have a right to know the true facts about the candidates, not the p.r. baloney the media report, and a ‘right to know’ about the mismanagement of their public agencies as in the case of Mr. Edwards.

“Tuesday I held a Manchester news conference and released documents written by Edwards’ successor claiming he had inherited from Edwards an agency that was ‘dysfunctional,’ and characterized by ‘mistrust and self-interest.’

“If Eddie Edwards were not a minority, no one would seriously consider him as a candidate for congress based on his failed record at the LC. Edwards has very successfully played the race card, first at the LC and now in a congressional race. But that game is up. I have a long, long history of support for civil rights. No one can accuse me of being a bigot. I am merely a fighter for the color-blind facts and truth.

“Wednesday Rudy Giuliani, who should know better, is coming to NH to ‘endorse’ Edwards. Endorse what? Edwards’ failed record as a ‘dysfunctional’ leader who led with ‘mistrust and self-interest?’ That’s a record Giuliani can endorse?

“Giuliani should receive tough questions about his bizarre endorsement of someone who filed two administrative complaints and one lawsuit against the agency he led claiming racial discrimination. When he was finally booted out, he claimed he was a great success and started running for office. That’s the definition of chutzpah.

“Would Giuliani endorse a non-minority candidate with that record? No way. So in the twilight of his career, Giuliani is now endorsing candidates that he would have summarily rejected earlier in his professional life.

“Now that I am approaching an agreement with the LC I fully expect John DiStaso at WMUR to big foot me and file his own duplicative RTK request at the LC. Mr. DiStaso is a great admirer of mine. He copies all of my RTK demands and pretends they are really his own.

“My campaign for congress has been one of the most extraordinary in recent American history, right here in little old New Hampshire. Two candidates, Sanborn and Edwards, who started out appearing superficially qualified, have been devastated by my investigative work, even though I am almost never credited with digging out the facts about them. And so the course of Republican Party politics in New Hampshire has been altered by my dogged investigation into the questionable records of two individuals who have no business being in congress.

“I will be working with the LC on Wednesday to lock down the timetable. I think we will do so and avoid a lawsuit. I am working to make the ‘Eddie Edwards files’ available as quickly as possible and we are using the prospect of an RTK lawsuit to get the agency to move more quickly,” Martin says. “I would act with the same ferocity in Congress. I would not let the Department of Justice and FBI delay production of documents to cover-up Democratic Party dirty tricks.

“I am the only hope New Hampshire voters have of sending a fighter to Washington who will advocate for their interests.

“As for Rudy Giuliani, coming to New Hampshire to ‘endorse’ someone he barely met, doesn’t know and hasn’t vetted? Sad.”

New Hampshire news conference: Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is about to be humiliated in New Hampshire

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani faces humiliation Wednesday when he travels to New Hampshire to “endorse” a congressional candidate who is a political fraud and racial huckster that took New Hampshire taxpayers for $160,000 as well as tens of thousands of dollars in salary while he did nothing but sit back and sue the state.

New Hampshire congressional candidate Andy Martin will hold a Manchester news conference Tuesday to ask “Why is Rudy Giuliani making a fool of himself? He is coming to New Hampshire to ‘endorse’ Eddie Edwards, who has been exposed as a racial profiteer and political phony. What is Giuliani thinking? Who is advising him?”

Tuesday Martin will probably put the final nail in Edwards’ political coffin when he exposes and brings to public attention the claims of Edwards’ successor about Edwards’ miserable performance as a liquor enforcement lawman.

Giuliani is not the only victim of Edwards’ film flam campaign. Other prominent Granite Staters have all been taken in by Edwards charming personality but deeply flawed character.

New Hampshire First Congressional District GOP candidate Andy Martin will hold a Manchester news conference Tuesday to release potentially fatally damaging documentation about his primary opponent, Eddie Edwards. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is coming to New Hampshire to endorse Edwards Wednesday, but Edwards may already be road kill by then. Martin is releasing web-based research which points to criticism of Edwards by his successor, James Wilson.

“Don’t believe me,” Martin says. “Believe Edwards’ successor, James Wilson. Wilson provides a devastating portrayal of Edwards as incompetent and manipulative. Edwards apparently collected tens of thousands of dollars in salary over an extended period for doing virtually nothing but suing the state.

This is one of the biggest political scandals in New Hampshire history and until I started digging, the local newspaper and TV station had completely covered up the mess. I have proven my skills as someone who will expose waste, fraud and mismanagement in Congress; I’m already doing that job in New Hampshire. Eddie Edwards ripped off the taxpayers three ways. Today is Edwards’ last day as a credible candidate for congress. Hasta La Vista, Eddie.”

(Manchester, NH)(July 31, 2018) — A congressional candidate whose very existence is denied by the local newspaper and TV station will humiliate worldwide figure Rudy Giuliani Tuesday when Andy Martin exposes damaging information about a candidate Giuliani is traveling to New Hampshire to endorse on Wednesday.

Because the local newspaper and TV station deny that Andy Martin is a bona fide candidate, Martin has pledged to politically destroy his primary opponents as the only way he can gain the nomination in the first congressional district. Tuesday may mark the end of Eddie Edwards’ campaign as a credible candidate and the humiliation of Rudy Giuliani and potentially serious questions about Giuliani’s political judgment and diminished skills.

“In New Hampshire, we only have one local TV station and one formerly statewide newspaper. They routinely cover up embarrassing political news to protect the ‘establishment,’” says Martin. “I am disliked by the local media because I am a disruptive force in state politics: I tell the truth. I also embarrass the media because they do no investigative reporting and merely act as conduits for political advertisers. I present hard evidence, as I am doing today in disclosing evidence from Edwards’ own successor. I offer unavoidable truths. I am the Republican U. S. Representative New Hampshire needs in congress.

“Why is Rudy Giuliani coming to New Hampshire to endorse someone for congress who ripped off local taxpayers three ways? First, Edwards filed three complaints and lawsuits against his employer. These proceedings cost the state tens of thousands of dollars (I have a pending Right to Know request for legal bills) in outside legal fees. It is clear from the resume of Edwards’ successor, James Wilson, that Edwards collected a salary for some time while he was suing taxpayers and doing next to nothing as an agency manager. Finally, Edwards ripped New Hampshire taxpayers for $160,000 in ‘get lost’ money.

“Edwards is Rudy Giuliani’s idea of a Republican candidate? What’s wrong with Rudy? For shame, Rudy.

“I am the only candidate in either party who has a reputation as a no nonsense corruption fighter, a fighter for ordinary people, not wealthy campaign contributors. All of the other candidate dweebs in both parties in the First District promise to fight mismanagement in Washington, but I am the only one who has a decades-long history of ferreting out crooks in government and doing something about it.

“Where was Senator Andy Sanborn when Edwards was ripping off taxpayers? Sanborn was ogling Sanborn’s secretary and making what Sanborn admits were dirty jokes.

“Adding to the shame and embarrassment for prominent New Hampshire Republicans who support Edwards, Edwards has been blowing smoke in their faces while picking their pockets, the same way he performed at the Liquor Commission.

Here is what Edwards’ successor, James Wilson, says about the agency Edwards left behind:

My background as Division Director contributes to and reinforces my capacity to back these claims. As the state’s chief of liquor enforcement and licensing I turned around a dysfunctional agency, known for its endemic mistrust and self-interest, to one of shared mission and individual empowerment. The enhanced internal culture led to a much-improved public perception and operative working approach.

Martin says, “Either Jim Wilson or Eddie Edwards is lying. Edwards signed a contract (‘Settlement Agreement’) barring him from employment at the Commission. Wilson went from chief to the director of legislative relations for the Commission. Unlike Edwards, who signed a ‘not eligible for reemployment’ provision, Wilson did not. Wilson didn’t sue the Commission and he did not walk out the door being pushed all the way.

“I have provided two links as well as an attachment for convenience. If you go to link #1 you will find Wilson’s linkedin page. Click on ‘Show More’ to find the conditions at the Liquor Commission Wilson inherited from Edwards. If you click on the symbol ‘James Wilson resume.pdf,’ you will see even more searing criticism of the agency under Edwards’ management.

“It is obvious that if Wilson inherited a ‘dysfunctional agency characterized by distrust and self-interest,’ (see PDF) that was the agency Edwards left behind when he ‘retired.’ It does not appear Edwards did very much to provide value to taxpayers after he started suing taxpayers, so Edwards gleaned a lot of salary checks simply by squatting in a state agency. What an indictment of his behavior and the behavior of his superiors.

“In closing, I end as I began with two questions: First, why is Rudy Giuliani coming to New Hampshire to ‘endorse’ a candidate he barely knows and whom Giuliani hasn’t researched? Second, which story is true? Edwards’? Or Wilson’s? They can’t both be true. I believe Wilson.

“Edwards was a failure at the Liquor Commission, except in extracting money for playing the race card and collecting a big payday at the end.

“I suppose you could add two more questions: Why did the local newspaper and TV station cover up this scandal and treat Edwards as a legitimate candidate? Until I came along and blew the whistle? Finally, can you find a better candidate for congress, anywhere, who is experienced and will serve the people of New Hampshire, not the special interests, and buck the political mandarins better than me? The best reason to vote for me is the shambles Eddie Edwards is leaving behind as his campaign collapses into oblivion,” Martin will state at his news conference. “They wanted Eddie; they’re getting me.”

Had enough for one day? Well, there’s more. Attention, John DiStaso, at WMUR; it’s wake-up time: The New Hampshire Attorney General has informed Martin that later this week another pile of embarrassing documents about another of Martin’s opponents will be released. Time for you to pilfer another pile of material Martin secured for public disclosure and claim it as your own.

The new release of documents later this week concerns Andy Sanborn, who has already been exposed as a public official so toxic his own colleagues took away his legislative assistant.

Who exposed the Sanborn scandal? No surprise there, Andy Martin.

If Rudy Giuliani is “America’s Mayor,” (about which there is growing question), Andy Martin is New Hampshire’s candidate for congress, about which there is no question. Martin promised to expose and demolish his opponents because the TV station and newspaper were pretending Martin did not exist. The demolition derby is proceeding with full force. “Man working:” Andy Martin.

New Hampshire First District congressional candidate Andy Martin wins a major victory by obtaining the release of five years of documents involving investigation of one of his opponents, state senator Andy Sanborn

First District congressional candidate Andy Martin has won a landmark victory for New Hampshire taxpayers by agreeing with the New Hampshire Attorney General to a timetable for releasing documents involving five years of taxpayer-paid investigations concerning state senator Andy Sanborn. “We have a ‘Right to Know’ law,” Andy Martin says, “Because taxpayers have a Right to Know what happens to their tax dollars. The state spent five (5) years investigating Andy Sanborn and what Sanborn admits is his crude behavior. The fact that Sanborn did not commit a crime is completely irrelevant to his unfitness to serve in congress. There was a dispute and I was literally at my desk starting to prepare a lawsuit, when the Attorney General made an offer which I accepted. This time, the taxpayers win. I did the job that New Hampshire’s fake news media would not do, seek the release of vital public information concerning a candidate for congress who is simply not fit to serve.”

(MANCHESTER, NH)(June 22, 2018) First District congressional candidate Andy Martin announced Friday, June 22nd that he has won a major victory for New Hampshire citizens by resolving a threatened lawsuit, without a lawsuit, to secure the release of documents from the New Hampshire Attorney General involving a five-year investigation of State Senator Andy Sanborn by state officials.

“The Attorney General did not want to release the ‘Sanborn files’ until after the primary, and maybe even after the general election,” Martin says. “I was literally at my desk to start drafting a lawsuit seeking Right to Know relief in court, when I received an offer by the AG proposing a schedule for release of the Sanborn files. I accepted that offer and thank the Attorney General for recognizing the importance of allowing voters to see the Sanborn material before the primary election.

“We have attached to [emailed copies of this statement] copies of the documents involving correspondence explaining how the negotiations took place, so that citizens can review for themselves how I proceeded.

“I do not know what is in the Sanborn files, but I will have more to say about Senator Sanborn’s misfeasance that triggered five years of investigations paid for by New Hampshire taxpayers. Whatever, the content of the files, votes have a right to see the Sanborn evidence before the primary election, not after. I am gratified the AG eventually agreed with me and that we were able to avoid a lawsuit. That’s the way the system should work.

“This has been a busy ‘legal’ week for me. I began in Alton, NH working to assist the American Legion in a planning and zoning dispute. I believe my presence and participation there was constructive. Today, Friday, we are ending with a major victory for New Hampshire taxpayers without the need to file a lawsuit. The truth will out.

“I look forward to serving the people of New Hampshire in congress, and to ensuring that every New Hampshire citizen, irrespective of how humble or exalted they may be, receives public service from my congressional office. We will serve with the utmost of humility. I am the only candidate in either party in the First District to be ready to serve on ‘Day One.’”

Andy Martin has been a respected public interest lawyer for decades and he will bring that extensive experience working to secure “deals” (Trumpspeak) or “agreements” (Andyspeak) that serve all of the state’s citizens.

“This time,” Andy concluded, “By fighting to release the Sanborn files, I did the job New Hampshire’s ‘fake news’ media failed to do. I got an agreement to see public records released for the public’s benefit.”
